Tien Pasco is an award-winning Producer, Director, and Writer who founded Storylab Films after working as a Producer at PBS and National Geographic Channel. With a diverse background producing documentary films, television promos and short form content for digital, social media and OTT platforms, she is passionate about connecting with people, learning about different cultures and exploring and understanding new perspectives to share on screen. As a natural listener, she has conducted dozens of interviews on camera making people feel at ease. Her visual sense for style and composition started in high school where she joined a fine arts magnet program studying painting, oil pastels, charcoal and other types of art media. 

 

Tien’s passion for storytelling has taken her all over the world to film and produce content in several U.S. states, China, Cambodia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, England, and a few African countries. She’s had to navigate shoots and postproduction with multiple languages including Arabic and Spanish. Her work has been shown on entertainment giants National Geographic Channel, History Channel, Discovery Channel, PBS, and Shahid. She’s fortunate to have worked on set with several prominent public figures and celebrities Liam Neeson, Terry Crews, Jamie Lee Curtis, Esai Morales and B.B. King. 

 

She was a Docs in Progress Fellow in 2018 for developing a film about postpartum mood disorders and is an award recipient of the Cine Golden Eagle, Mark Award, and several Promax and TIVA Peer Awards. 

 

Tien brings her award-winning background as a Producer to craft videos for a variety of different purposes. Whether it’s corporate mission videos, sports docuseries, feature-length documentaries, TV promos, digital ads, educational videos or advocacy pieces, every video produced by Storylab tells a worthwhile story on screen.
